Gerry has been in the entertainment industry for over 3 decades, he is an accomplished musician and plays Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo and Bodhran, as well as being a very fine singing and writing talent. He played in several folk and ballad groups on the Irish pub/club circuit. Many different artists have recorded Gerry's songs, including The Finbar Furey, Sinead O Connor, Dublin City Ramblers and Tony Vincent. He has toured extensively in the US- Britain- Europe.
In October 1988 Gerry formed a prolific partnership with Brendan O' Carroll. In 1992 they received a gold disc for sales of their first album "Yer a Sick Man Da". 1993 – 98 Gerry co wrote and produced all of Brendan O'Carroll's, 5 no 1 videos. Acted and Produced in 4 Box Office Theatre Plays and several TV series and Movies.
Gerry Browne Promotions are now one of the biggest booking agents in Ireland with over 100 different Artists/Bands on their books. Amongst the artists represented are, folk legend Finbar Furey, blues artist Don Baker, soccer legends Paul McGrath & Niall Quinn, olympic boxing gold medallist Michael Carruth, Frances Black, Aslan, Rebecca Storm and Over 80 wedding bands and DJ’s.
